In a groundbreaking move, the Beijing Zhogmin Xinjunlong New Energy Technology Company Ltd. from China and Nigeria’s NIGUS International have inked a historic $1 billion deal aimed at eradicating gas flaring in Nigeria while propelling the nation into the realm of sustainable green energy production.
The pivotal agreement was lauded by HRH Malik Ado Ibrahim, CEO, and Chairman of NIGUS, who expressed the primary objective of assimilating cutting-edge technology from the Chinese partner to convert flared gas into a commercially viable resource. This groundbreaking technology is set to usher in Gas-to-Liquid (GTL) processes, producing synthetic diesel that will invigorate Nigeria’s energy matrix. Additionally, it will facilitate the creation of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) for export and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (cooking gas), marking a significant leap towards a cleaner and more sustainable energy landscape.
